Previewing a lesson in Imagine MyPath

You can preview lessons in the Assignment Builder before assigning them to your students. This is an important step to ensure that the content, difficulty level, and skills addressed in a lesson align with your students' needs and learning goals. 

To preview a lesson in Assignment Builder:

  1. Log in to the Imagine MyPath suite.
  2. Click Assignment Builder in the left navigation menu.
  3. Select a Subject and Enrolled Grade, then click Access Lesson Explorer.
  4. Use the filters to narrow down the results to a particular skill level or grade band. You can also search for lessons using a title, description, domain, or standard code.

    Clicking Filters opens the Filters menu. Use the carets to expand or contract each section.

    Click Apply to view the filtered list of lessons that meet your criteria; click Reset Filters to clear all of the filters.

    Filter Description
    Active Filters Currently selected filters.
    Subject Filter by core subjects—Math, Reading, Science, or Purpose.
    Enrolled Grade Filter by rostered grade.
    Lesson Skill Level

    Search for lessons Below, On, or Above grade level.

    Appropriate For Search for content in a particular grade band: K–2, 3–5, or 6–12.
  5. Click the lesson title or information icon to access the available resources and to preview the lesson.
  6. After selecting a lesson, the lesson details are shown on the top portion of the page. Here, you can view the lesson's overview, content domain, and relevant standards. The Lesson Resources, which include printable worksheets and guided notes, are also accessible here. The Lesson Preview begins below this section.


  7. The Lesson Preview is where you can view the questions that the student will be asked in each activity of the lesson you selected. You can toggle to different activities in the lesson by using the drop-down list in the upper left. Navigate to other pages in the activity using the numbers at the bottom of the page. If a lesson has English and Spanish versions, a language selector will appear in the upper right (not shown here), and you can choose to view the lesson in Spanish.
