Note
This article applies to Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.
If you are an Administrator or Teacher, you can manage classes in the Imagine Math suite. Managing classes includes creating a class, activating or deactivating a class, changing the name or settings for a class, adding students to a class, editing student account information, printing start cards for the students in your class, and assigning or switching learning pathways for your students. Administrators can also change which teachers are assigned to each class.
Caution
If your organization uses a Student Information System (SIS) integration tool, some edits must be made through the SIS rather than in Imagine Math, and in these cases the Edit link may not be available. Check with your district's IT staff if you have questions about which changes can be made manually versus which changes must be sent over in the sync files.
Managing your classes successfully involves these tasks:
Activating or deactivating a class
Activate a class to allow students to log in and start using Imagine Math. Deactivate a class to prevent students in that class from logging in.
Editing class names/changing class settings
For Imagine Math 3+ classes, you can enable or disable the built-in calculator, allow Imagine Math to automatically assign grade-level pathways to students, or allow sound effects to play during math lessons. You can also change the order of operations or enable Friendly Mode for Imagine Math Facts.
Restricting avatar building and accessory purchases for Imagine Math 3+ students
For Imagine Math 3+ classes, you can restrict avatar building and accessory purchases to specific days and times.
Add new students to a class by creating student accounts individually or by using a CSV file to add multiple students at once. Add existing students to a class using their Student Information Number (SIN).
Quickly edit student information (first and last name, username, password, student ID, and alternate student ID) for students in your class.
Print start cards with your students' login information so they can log in and start using Imagine Math.
Assigning pathways or switching pathways
Assign a learning pathway to a new student in your class or switch learning pathways for students who show advanced performance on grade-level skills.
