Printing student start cards in the Imagine Math suite

 Note

This article applies to Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.

Start cards are printable login cards containing your students' names, usernames, and Imagine Math site code. They also contain a place for you to write their password (if desired), and a QR code that makes logging in even easier for students than typing in their credentials. (For more information, see Logging in to the Math Suite.)

You can save start cards to a PDF file that you can print or share as needed. You can also export start card information to a CSV file for your own records or to make searching for specific login information easier.

Administrators and Teachers can print start cards for individual student(s) or entire classes assigned to them.

 Recommendation

Send Family resource flyers home with the start cards to explain what Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts are and how to help students use them at home.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that the applicable class is active. If it is inactive, you can't print start cards until you activate the class.
  • Ensure that rostering is complete. A start card will not print for any student that has been rostered but not added to a classroom.

To print start cards:

  1. Log in to the Imagine Math suite.
  2. School Administrators and Teachers, click Management > Classrooms in the left navigation pane.

     Note

District Administrators: Click Management > Schools in the left navigation pane, then click Classes for the applicable school.
    Customer Administrators
: Click Management > Organizations in the left navigation pane, click Schools by the applicable district, then click Classes for the applicable school.

  3. Do one of the following:
To print cards for an entire class:

Click Start Cards for the applicable class.

To print cards for individual students: A. Click Current Students in the applicable class.

    B. Select one or more students and click Print Start Cards
  4. Click Print to save your students' start cards to a PDF, or click Export to save your students' login information to a CSV file. The QR code does not appear in the CSV version. For security reasons, the passwords do not appear in either version; however, you can write them in by hand on the printed copy of the PDF.
