Note
This article applies to Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.
Administrators and Teachers can edit student account information and product settings/assignments for their students. There are 2 ways to perform edits—via the Quick Edit button and via the pencil icon.
The Quick Edit button allows you to edit each student's first name, last name, username, password, and/or identification numbers directly from the Students page. This is convenient when you need to edit multiple student accounts because you don't need to click separately into each student's account to make your changes.
The pencil icon allows you to edit the same fields as the Quick Edit button as well as grade level, product and language settings, and more. You can also view the student's assessment provider. This method requires navigating to each student's account individually.
Caution
When you see Managed by SIS next to accounts or classes, it means that your organization uses a Student Information System (SIS) integration tool to manage accounts. To update information for these accounts, contact your IT staff since they have permissions to make account changes and send them to Imagine Learning via the sync files.
Click on a tab below to view instructions for each edit method.

Choose from these languages in the drop-down menu: English (default), Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Haitian-Creole, and Tagalog. Operation Ordering This only displays for students with Imagine Math Facts, and it requires students to pass an operation with 90% or greater on the post-test before they can move on to the next operation, and specifies the order in which students complete different operations. By default, the order of operations is: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
To reorder the operations, click the left or right arrow to move an operation one position to the left or right.
Notes
- If you enable order of operations or change the order of operations while students are in the middle of an operation, no progress or student data will be lost. For example, if a student started with multiplication and were halfway through it when the operation order was set to {addition, subtraction, multiplication, division}, then they would only be able to play addition. After mastering addition, they could then play subtraction. After completing subtraction, they would resume their multiplication game from where they had left off (half way through).
- Operations Ordering can also be set for an entire class by editing the class settings or the entire school by editing the school settings. Changing it at the student level overrides the class or school setting.
Friendly Mode This field only displays if the student has Imagine Math Facts. This field only displays if the student has Imagine Math Facts. It identifies whether or not to enable Friendly Mode. When Friendly Mode is enabled, most enemies won't attack the student's avatar if they answer a question incorrectly, and if they do attack, the enemies won't cause any damage. We recommend enabling this for your any student you think might be frightened by the enemy attacks.
Note
You can turn Friendly Mode on or off for an entire class by editing the class settings or the entire school by editing the school settings. Changing it at the student level overrides the class or school setting.
