District and School Administrators, including Teachers, can edit the learning path grade placement of a student by accessing Student Placement.
Prior to modifying student placement within the learning path, educators should familiarize themselves with best practices. They have the option to manually place students who have completed their current learning path and are not adequately challenged to a higher learning path. Likewise, educators can adjust placements for students who are struggling to pass certain lessons. MyPath will automatically assign appropriate lessons based on the new grade placement.
To change the grade placement of a student:
Log in to the Imagine MyPath suite.
Click Classes on the left navigation, then choose a class.
Choose Classes on the left navigation and select a class.
- Choose Schools on the left navigation, then select a school.
- Click a class.
Continue with the following:
- Click Student Placement in the upper navigation.
- Select the lesson's more options ( ), then click Edit Placement.
- Click the Select Grade drop-down list and choose a placement grade. The current placement grade is not an option. Then click Update.
Note
When the student's placement grade changes, the new placement grade, the teacher or source of the change, and the date of the update will display on their progress report.
