Teachers and Administrators can use the Student Progress report to reassign a completed lesson when a student needs another chance to work through it after reteaching or extra support. Reassigning a lesson places it back into the student's path so you can check whether the student is ready to move on.

When to reassign lessons

Reassign a lesson when:

  • The student passed the lesson by needs more practice.
  • The student did not pass the lesson, and you want to check progress after targeted instruction.
  • The student passed an early Mastery Check and skipped part of the lesson, but you want the student to complete the full lesson.

To reassign a lesson:

  1. Log in to the Product Portal and select the desired product.
  2. Select a class.
  3. Click a student's name to open their Student Progress report.

What happens after reassigning a lesson

For the student

  • The student starts the reassigned lesson after finishing the lesson they are currently working on.
  • If you reassign more than one lesson, the student starts with the earliest lesson in the learning path sequence.
  • The student completes reassigned lessons before returning to the regular learning path.

In the Student Progress report

  • In the Current and Complete view, the original lesson data stays visible until the student begins the reassigned lesson. Original lesson data still visible in the Current and Complete view
  • In the Upcoming view, the lesson appears with a Reassigned label and the date it was reassigned. Reassigned lesson shown in the Upcoming view
  • After the student starts the reassigned lesson, it moves to the Current and Complete view and replaces the previous attempt with updated lesson data.

Impact on other reports

Report What changes
Class Summary Shows only the most recent lesson data.
Class Progress Changes the lesson status to Not Started until the student completes the reassigned lesson. The report shows results from the most recent attempt.

 Note

You can only reassign completed lessons. If you do not see the reassign icon in the Current and Complete view, check the Upcoming view. The lesson may already be reassigned, and the student may not have started it yet.
