Monitoring student progress on Diagnostic and Screener assessments in Imagine+ Assessment

The Flexible Scheduler in Imagine+ Assessment® allows Administrators and Teachers to track student completion of assessments in real time. After reading Viewing assessment schedules in Imagine+ Assessment, use this article to learn how to monitor student progress on Imagine+ Diagnostic® and Imagine+ Screener® assessments. This article walks you through  a 4-step monitoring workflow: Access and Review, Analyze and Prioritize, Take Action, and Troubleshoot.

 Permissions

District administrators can monitor and edit schedules for all students in their district.
School administrators can monitor and edit schedules for students at their school(s).
Teachers can monitor schedules for their assigned classes but cannot edit schedules.

 Note

For monitoring progress on formative assessments, see Viewing student's formative assessment data in Imagine+ Assessment.

Step 1: Access and review

  1. From your Imagine+ Assessment dashboard, click Scheduling in the left navigation panel.

  2. Assessments are grouped by type (Diagnostic and/or Screener) based on your organization’s licenses. Use the drop-down menus at the top of the Scheduling page to filter by:
    • Assessment Type: Diagnostic or Screener
    • Subject: Math or ELA, if applicable

     Note

Filter options depend on your organization's product licenses. Teachers cannot filter schedules.

  3. Review the following columns:
    A. Status: Identifies assessments as Upcoming, In Progress, or Closed
    B. Days Remaining: Shows days until window closes (In Progress only)
    C. Percent Assessed:
Displays completion percentage for In Progress/Closed assessments

 Note

For Imagine+ Diagnostic: If an assessment is not completed within 30 days of its start date, it will expire. Students must restart expired assessments during the current assessment window to complete them. If the window closes before they restart, administrators will need to reschedule the assessment.

Step 2: Analyze and prioritize

  1. Sort assessments by clicking the arrows (ipa_report_arrows.png) in column headers to identify priorities:
    • Sort by Status to group active assessments and identify In Progress assessments.
    • Sort by Days Remaining to identify urgent windows.
    • Sort by Percent Assessed  to find low-completion assessments.
  2. Analyze completion metrics and prioritize actions:
    • High Priority: Less than 50% assessed with fewer than 7 days remaining
    • Medium Priority: 50-80% assessed with 7-14 days remaining
    • Low Priority: More than 14 days remaining

Step 3: Take action

For Teachers

  1. Click the elipses.jpg next to an In Progress assessment and select View Summary.

  2. Refer to Editing assessment schedules for detailed instructions.

Step 4: Troubleshoot

If completion rates remain low, look for common issues:

  1. Device issues: Verify devices meet system requirements.
  2. Access problems: Confirm students can log in to Imagine+ Assessment.
