Bulk-reassigning an assessment with the Flexible Scheduler in Imagine+ Assessment

District and School Administrators can reassign a Diagnostic or Screener assessment to multiple students at once using the Imagine+ Assessment Flexible Scheduler. It may be necessary to reassign an assessment to multiple students if they missed the original assessment window, need a retake due to technical issues, or require additional testing opportunities for any reason. Unlike reassigning an assessment from the student report for the Diagnostic or Screener (which is done one at a time), the scheduler enables batch reassignment, streamlining assessment management at the group level.

 Note

The assessment window must be In Progress in order to perform bulk reassignment. If the assessment window is Closed, you must reopen the assessment window before you can reassign it.

To reassign an assessment to students using the scheduler:

  1. Log in to the Product Portal and select the Imagine+ Assessment tile.

     Note

Only students with an In Progress or Completed status are eligible to be reassigned. A message saying "No students have started or completed this assessment" appears in the Available students section when no students are eligible to be reassigned.

  7. A success message will display when the reassignment is complete, and the selected students will see the reassigned assessment in their assessment list the next time they log in.

What to expect after reassignment

  • Data from the student’s prior attempt is preserved and continues to be visible in reports until the reassigned assessment is completed and submitted.
  • Screener only: When a Screener is reassigned, the assessment will launch in Unlocked Mode. This allows the students to navigate the gameboard and select specific subtests for a retake, as directed by their teacher, without having to repeat the entire assessment. This is useful for re-administering only the subtests that require a new attempt due to invalid results or technical issues.
  • After the new attempt is submitted, results from the new attempt will fully replace the original in all report views.
  • Only the data for the students you reassign is affected; all other students' records and test progress for this assessment will stay the same.
  • You may monitor the status of reassigned attempts from the Flexible Scheduler or relevant reports.
