Understanding student tools in Imagine MyPath

Imagine MyPath provides a suite of built-in support tools and accessibility accommodations to help all students succeed in their learning paths. Most tool and accommodation settings are managed in the Imagine Learning Product Portal, ensuring consistency and ease of management for educators and administrators.

Tool Availability

The availability of calculators, language supports, and additional tools in MyPath depends on the content and grade level of each lesson. Settings such as text-to-speech or translation are configured in the Product Portal.

Managing student accommodations and profiles

Educators and administrators can edit student profiles, manage tool access, change passwords, assign products, update language settings, and adjust IEP/ELL status by using the Product Portal. See Viewing, editing, and deleting student accounts for detailed steps.

  • Most product settings, such as enabling text-to-speech or Spanish, must be managed via the Product Portal (not from within MyPath).
  • You can update a student's IEP or ELL/MLL designation in the profile; this helps with local tracking and compliance but does not currently appear as a column or filter in MyPath-specific class or progress reports for segmentation.
  • Bulk edits for settings and status (where supported) can be managed across groups of students for efficiency.

To enable or adjust student tools:

  1. Access the Product Portal and select Users & Classes/Groups.
  2. Locate the student or group of students to update; see Viewing and editing student accounts for details.
  3. Choose the appropriate action to edit details, adjust product access, or modify language/tool settings.
  4. Enable tools like text-to-speech, translation, or Spanish, and update student instructional designations as needed.
  5. For more on student-facing experience, see Using the language support tools in Imagine MyPath (instructions for students).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can accommodations be customized per student?

Yes—accommodations like text-to-speech, translation, or language settings can be customized for each student through the Product Portal.

Are accommodations available in every lesson?

Accommodation availability (such as calculator or translation) may depend on the type and grade level of lesson content. Some supports are only present when needed.

Can I filter MyPath reports to view students by IEP or ELL status?

No. MyPath’s built-in reports do not provide filtering or grouping by IEP or ELL status at this time. These designations are visible in student profiles for reference, but do not drive reporting segmentation.
