Imagine MyPath is designed to help every student succeed, no matter what language they speak at home. If you ever want help understanding your lessons, you can use special language tools to translate the words on the screen or have them read aloud to you. These features can make learning easier, help you learn new words, and let you show what you know in the way that works best for you.
- Language translation tool: Changes the words on the page from English to your home language, helping you understand directions, lessons, and questions more easily.
- Text-to-speech: Reads the text on the screen out loud in your selected language, so you can listen as you follow along or hear words you want help with.
Note
Your teacher must grant you access to these features by enabling them in your student profile. They must be enabled separately for MyPath Reading, MyPath Math, and Imagine Purpose. Talk to your teacher if you'd like to use these features and don't see them in your account.

To use the language translation tool:

Log in to the Product Portal and select the desired product (MyPath Math, MyPath Reading, or Purpose).
- Select Go on the next lesson.
- Click English in the top right of the screen.

Click the desired language in the menu that appears. If needed, click More to view the full list of languages and then choose your desired language.
- The text on the screen is translated to your selected language.
Note
Once you choose a language, on-screen text will continue to be translated every time you access the subject you are currently working in. However, if your learning path is updated or a new school year starts, you will need to re-select the desired language.
To use the text-to-speech tool:
- Open the next activity in your learning path following the first 2 steps above.
- Highlight the text with your cursor that you want to have read aloud.
- Click the speaker icon (
) in the bottom left corner of the screen and then the Play button (
).

Follow along as the text is read aloud.
Tip
To have the entire page read aloud, starting in the top left, skip highlighting any text and just click the speaker icon (
