Use this article to prepare students to use Imagine+ Math. It includes pathway-specific onboarding videos and shows what students see when they open and work in their learning path.
Prepare students with an onboarding video
The student-facing videos below introduce the tools, lesson structure, and content students will see as they work in Imagine+ Math. Show students the onboarding video that matches their pathway and grade band.
Mastery pathway

Getting started
To open their learning path:
- Students log in to the Product Portal.
- Select the MyPath Math/Imagine Math tile.

On the student dashboard, students see a Mastery tile, a Builder tile, or both, depending on their placement. Students click GO to open a pathway's course map.
Note
Students see a My Assignments tile only when a teacher has assigned work from Assignment Builder. For more information, see Understanding the Assignment Builder in Imagine MyPath and Imagine+ Math.
- The course map shows the lessons in the student's learning path. Students work in order and can open only one lesson at a time. Students click GO to begin a lesson or pick up where they left off.
Note
Dashboard tiles and course maps may look different by grade band, but students follow the same basic steps.
Student pathway experience
Select a tab to learn about what students see in each pathway.
Students in the Mastery pathway work through structured grade-level lessons with mastery checks, feedback, and support.
Grades K–2
In Grades K–2, lessons in the Mastery pathway are story-based and interactive. Students click, count, compare, and model math ideas as they work through each lesson.
- Lessons include narration and simple on-screen controls that help students move from one activity to the next.
Grades 3–8
In Grades 3–8, students work more independently while solving problems and responding to feedback throughout the lesson.
Note
In some lessons, students must review the feedback before they can try again or move on.
- Students receive targeted feedback during lessons.
- Students work with grade-appropriate math tools provided in lessons.
- Students can access Live Learning Support in eligible activities.
Students in the Builder pathway move through lessons that combine explicit instruction, scaffolded support, and independent work.
Grades K–5
In Grades K–5, lessons in the Builder pathway introduce skills through explicit, video-based instruction and then support students as they apply what they learn.
- Lessons include videos and other built-in supports that help students complete the work.
- Students in Grades 3 and up can access Live Learning Support in eligible activities.
Grades 6–8
In Grades 6–8, lessons in the Builder pathway use age-appropriate instruction and more independent work while keeping the same explicit, structured approach.
- Students can open Guided Notes from the course map before they begin a lesson.
- Inside lessons, students use lesson tools and supports provided in the activity.
- Students can access Live Learning Support in eligible activities.
Star rewards and personalization
In both pathways, students can earn stars in eligible lessons and activities.
- Students earn stars by completing work and meeting the lesson score goal.
- Earned stars unlock sidekicks and backgrounds.
- Students can use those rewards to personalize their learning experience.
