Note
This article applies to the following products:
- Imagine MyPath Math
- Imagine+ Math Beta
In Imagine MyPath Math and Imagine+ Math Beta, the accessibility toggle lets students switch between the default picture-based Activity format and a text-based Reader format in supported Grades K–2 lessons. The toggle only appears for students who have the Fully Accessible setting enabled in the Product Portal. To enable that setting, see Viewing, editing, and deleting student accounts.
You can enable the Fully Accessible setting for students in other grades, but the accessibility toggle only appears in Grades K–2 lessons where this feature is supported.
Where the toggle appears

- Imagine+ Math Beta: Mastery pathway lessons and Practice lessons assigned through Assignment Builder
How the toggle works
When the accessibility toggle is available, it appears in the bottom-left corner of the activity. Students click Reader to switch to the text-based format or Activity to return to the default picture-based format.
When students click to switch formats, a confirmation screen appears asking whether they want to stay or switch. The message explains that progress in the current activity will be lost if they switch.
If students choose Switch, the same question opens in the text-based Reader format.
Tip
Encourage students to choose Activity or Reader before they begin. Switching after an activity starts may restart the activity and clear in-progress work.
Other things to know
- Submitting locks the toggle. After a student submits an answer in either format, they cannot switch formats for that question. The toggle is disabled, and the student can only move forward.
- Spanish is supported. If the student's language is set to Spanish, text in the Reader format is automatically translated.
