Using Clever for automated rostering

Clever is a third-party service that connects your district's Student Information Systems (SIS) with Imagine Learning digital products.

Clever provides these services:

• Roster creation for Imagine Learning products: Clever synchronizes roster data with your district SIS and sends it to Imagine Learning via an API connection.. Administrators can determine what roster data is shared with Imagine Learning.

• Single Sign-On (SSO) access to Imagine Learning products: Clever provides Imagine Learning with educator and student identity information for Single Sign-On (SSO). Single Sign-On allows you to log in to Clever and automatically access Imagine Learning products from the Clever Portal without having to log in separately to login.imaginelearning.com.

   Note

  You can use Clever for roster creation without using it for SSO if you prefer.

Administrators use the Clever application at the beginning of each year, and periodically throughout the year, to share student roster information and updates with Imagine Learning. When Imagine Learning receives your rostering data, it is transferred into the Imagine Learning products that are associated with your district, school, and account. The Clever application defines the data sharing permissions and controls the data sharing process.

Before you share your rosters with Imagine Learning, you'll need to set up your SIS and the Clever application.
