Teachers and Administrators can use the Student Placement page in Imagine+ Math to review each student's current pathway, placement grade, placement source, and placement date. You can also use this page to review pathway recommendations and open placement actions for individual students or groups of students.
Note
- This article shows the class-level view. Administrators can also open the Student Placement page at the district or school level, where the layout is similar and additional student ID columns appear.
- If your school also uses MyPath Reading or Imagine Purpose, those subjects also appear on this page.
To access the Student Placement page for a class:
- Log in to the Product Portal and select the MyPath Math/Imagine+ Math tile.

Select a class.
- Click Student Placement in the top navigation ribbon.
Columns on the page
The Student Placement page shows placement details in a table.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Student Name | Full name of each student in the selected class. |
| Username | Student login name. |
| Grade | Rostered grade level. |
| Subject | Subject shown for the placement record, such as Math and, when applicable, Reading or Purpose. |
| Path Type | Assigned pathway type: Mastery Path or Builder Path. A dash (–) appears for subjects that do not use pathway types. |
| Overall Placement | Student’s current placement grade. This may differ from the rostered grade. The column also shows when a learning path is deactivated. |
| Source | How the placement was assigned: Manual, Imagine+ Diagnostic, NWEA, Renaissance, or System. See Assessment and placement options in Imagine+ Math for more information. |
| Placement Date | Date the student received the current pathway and placement. |

A dash (–) appears when placement information is not available.
Filter the list
Use the filters at the top left of the page to narrow the student list. These filters are especially helpful at the district and school levels.
| Filter | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Grade Level | Select one or more rostered grade levels. |
| Overall Placement | Select one or more placement grades. |
| Placement | Filter by how the placement compares to the rostered grade: Above Grade Level, On Grade Level, 1 Grade Below, 2+ Grades Below, Not Placed, or Deactivated. |
| Subject | Select one or more subjects shown on the page. |
| Source | Select one or more placement sources, such as Manual, Imagine+ Diagnostic, NWEA, Renaissance, or System. |
Use the Path Type menu to show only Mastery Path, only Builder Path, or All.
Actions from this page
You can use the Student Placement page to start several common placement tasks:
- Review and apply pathway recommendations.
- Assign the Math Builder pathway for students who need a different path.
- Change pathway statuses in bulk if you are an administrator.
- Manage learning path settings, including options available from the Student Placement page.
