Imagine+ Math integrates with NWEA MAP Growth to tailor personalized learning pathways for K–5 students. By leveraging NWEA data, Imagine+ Math determines each student's proficiency across math domains and recommends the most suitable learning pathway for targeted growth. All students are initially placed in the Math Mastery pathway by default, ensuring structured grade-level practice before any pathway adjustments.

Important considerations
- Assessment type: Imagine+ Math integrates only with the English-language NWEA MAP Growth math assessments. Course-specific or non-English versions are not supported for placement recommendations.
- Data sync timing: After students complete a new NWEA math assessment, it may take up to three days for updated pathway placement recommendations to appear in Imagine+ Math.
- Placement and pathway recommendations: Educators receive real-time placement recommendation alerts when new NWEA results indicate a student might benefit from switching pathways. Students initially start on the Math Mastery pathway by default. Pathway recommendations suggest switching students between Math Mastery and Math Builder pathways based on assessment thresholds: 2 or more grades below or 1 grade above triggers Builder pathway recommendations. Educators retain full control to apply, override, or undo these recommendations.
Using NWEA MAP Growth with Imagine+ Math students
- Returning students: Retain prior year placements until new NWEA MAP Growth assessment data triggers pathway updates and/or recommendations.
- New students: Are initially placed on Math Mastery pathway by default but can be manually placed by educators. Placements will update automatically once NWEA data is synced unless locked.
- Assessment data: Imagine+ Math automatically pulls NWEA math assessment data from tests taken after July 1 of the current school year. For older results, contact your Imagine Learning Customer Success Manager.
