Before Students Leave for the Summer
Analyze Progress and Usage
Review Progress and Usage reports to be sure students are progressing as expected compared to the time they are spending on the program. If necessary, increase the allotted session time so students can meet year-end usage goals.
Conduct Assessments and Measure Growth
For programs with assessments, multiple assessment data points are needed to measure growth throughout the year.
- Administrators: Make sure the year-end assessments are enabled, and communicate with your teachers the testing window dates and your expectations for which students should take them.
- Teachers: Schedule class time for students to complete the test. (This is usually the third assessment, unless students started the program late in the school year).
Once students finish testing, consult the Growth report to compare assessment results from this testing window to prior testing windows.
Acknowledge and Celebrate Success
Print certificates from the program to send home with students. When possible, publicly recognize consistent users on bulletin boards, in school announcements or newsletters, or at assemblies.

Remind/Prepare for Summer Usage
Check with your administration or your Customer Success Manager to see if students will still have access to the programs over the summer.
- Send a copy of the login cards (Product Portal) or start cards (Imagine Math suite) home with students over the summer so they know how to access the programs from their own devices. You can find more information for parents and caregivers in the Help for Families section of the Help Center.
- Send home any summer motivation contest details. These are found in the Resource Center of the applicable products.
- Send home any printable resources you'd like students to work on over the summer. For example, IL&L users may want to send home the Seuss Corner Choice Boards for June, July, and August.
- For Imagine Math 3+ students, add the Summer Bridge pathway to all student accounts.
Before You Leave for the Summer
Save this Year's Data
After reviewing the reset articles below and learning which data points carry over and which don't, download and save any data you think you might need in the future.
- For products in the Imagine Learning Product Portal, download rostering data if you need a record of who was in which classes and their account settings (such as language settings).
- Download or print any student– or class–level performance, growth, or usage data you may want to refer to next year. Available reports vary by product: IL&L | IE | Galileo K–12 | Imagine Math/IMF | MyPath | Robotify
- Administrators: For Imagine Language & Literacy, Imagine Español, and Imagine MyPath, you can download your students' usage and assessment data in the form of the Cumulative Performance report. For the Imagine Math suite, use the Student Data Export.
Before You Start Summer School
Prepare for Summer School, if applicable
There are a myriad of implementation options for Summer School. Administrators: Determine how rostering will be conducted for summer school and let Teachers know if they need to roster their own students or if it will be done for them.

Review Reset Procedures
The reset closes out the current academic year to prepare for the upcoming one. Although conducting the reset is mostly done at the district level, all educators should be aware of the organization's reset date and what data points will still be available next school year.
