District Administrators and Customer Administrators can view data at the district level and on a school-by-school basis by accessing the Weekly Progress Summary, which features data measuring enrolled and active students, lessons completed and passed, and the use of Math Helps and the Live Teachers.
This report pulls data beginning July 15th of the current academic year. This date is the same for all schools and districts and cannot be changed.
Caution
This report only contains data for Imagine Math students in Grades 3 and up. It is only available for District and Customer Administrators. Teachers and School Administrators should access the Overview section of the Usage report instead.
To interpret the Weekly Progress report:
- Log in to Imagine Math.
- In the Reports section of the left navigation pane, click Weekly Progress Report.
- If desired, use the filters to select a School Group or a different Week Ending date. By default, the report will display data from all schools for the week ending the previous Saturday.
Note
Customer Administrators have an additional filter for District Group.
- Scroll through the report or go directly to a section by clicking the link at the top of the report.
- Roll-up data for the entire district appears in a graph in each section.
Click Show Details to view a separate row for each school.Note
Click on a column name to change the order in which the data displays in that column. In the example above, the default was lowest to highest, but clicking on the column name changed it from highest to lowest. Click on School Name to sort the data alphabetically by school.
- Use the table below to learn more about each section of the report.
Section | Description | Recommendations |
---|---|---|
Student Enrollment | This report displays YTD data and compares the number of active students to the number of enrolled students. | Ideally, the % with Work (YTD) column should be as close to 100% as possible. If it is not, encourage teachers to have students begin the program, and check your rostering process to see if students who will not be using the program have been enrolled in it. Delete these students from Imagine Math by excluding these students from the nightly files if your district uses Clever, Classlink, or another automated rostering tool. (Delete these students manually if your district rosters manually.) |
Students with Work | This graph compares the number of students with work versus the number of active students week by week, with the most recent week displaying in a darker color than the other bars in the graph. | Clicking Show Details provides a row of data regarding active students for each school for the week ending on the date selected in the Week Ending filter. It's unlikely the % with Work will reach 100% due to student absences and scheduling conflicts. However, if the same schools show low percentages week after week, consider speaking with those schools to find out why usage is low.
Note Students with work have completed at least one math action in Imagine Math during the week. The term "math action" means either a completed Imagine Math Benchmark or a completed Imagine Math lesson. Taking the NWEA MAP Growth Assessment does not count as a math action for the purposes of this report. |
Math Time | The graph displays a green bar for weeks where the average usage was 45 minutes or more and a red bar for weeks where the average usage was fewer than 45 minutes. | Hover over each bar for more information, including a breakdown of school time (7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday in your local time zone) versus evening and weekend time (all other hours).
The Show Details section is divided into two tables — one for schools at or above the goal of 45 minutes and the other for schools below the goal. |
Weekly Lessons Completed | The graph displays a green dot for weeks where average lesson completion was two lessons or more and a red dot for weeks with an average of fewer than two lessons completed. | Hover over each dot to see the average number of lessons completed each week district-wide. The Show Details section is divided into two tables — one for schools at or above the goal of 2 or more completed lessons and the other for schools below the goal. |
Overall Lessons Completed | This chart shows the percentage of students district-wide who have completed various numbers of lessons (more than 5, more than 10, etc.). | Students should complete 30 lessons or more a year. As the school year progresses, look for the number in the 30+ column to be as close to 100% as possible. Note that students who have completed fewer than 5 lessons are not included in the chart or in the table in the Show Details section. |
Overall Lesson Pass Rates | A green meter in this chart indicates an on-grade-level lesson pass rate at or above 60%, while a red meter indicates an on-grade-level pass rate lower than 60%. | Students should pass at least 60% of their on grade-level lessons; follow up with schools performing below this goal. |
Total Math Helps | Hover over a blue dot to see the district total for the number of times that students used the Math Helps district-wide. | Encourage students to use the Math Helps available in the Guided Learning component of their lessons. Clicking Show Details displays the total number of Math Helps used YTD at each school as well as the average number of Math Helps used by each student.
Recommendation Celebrate schools with high numbers of Math Helps. |
Total Imagine Math Teacher Sessions | Hover over a blue dot to see the district total for the number of times that students connected with a Live Teacher. | Encourage students to take advantage of the Live Teachers to receive one-on-one help with their lessons. Clicking Show Details displays the total number of Live Teacher sessions conducted at each school, the number of students using the teachers, and the percentage of students using live teachers. The percentage of students using the live teachers should be high at each school; a high number of Imagine Math Teacher Sessions combined with a low number of Students Using Imagine Math Teachers indicates that the same handful of students are accessing the teachers. (There is no limit to how many times a student can request live assistance, but our hope is that all students use this feature when they need help.)
Recommendation Recognize schools with high Live Teacher Usage at your next meeting. |
