Imagine MyPath equips educators and students with several language support tools, designed to foster equitable access for multilingual learners as well as students who benefit from translation and text-to-speech aids. These features are available across MyPath Math, MyPath Reading, and Imagine Purpose, enabling differentiated instruction and greater engagement for all students.
Overview of language supports
The MyPath Suite offers 3 language support features:
-
Spanish Language setting: For students in K–5 Math, this option provides a fully immersive Spanish experience. All content, including the interface, lessons, video, transcripts, and captions, has been developed natively in Spanish for an authentic educational experience. This is ideal for Spanish-speaking students and Dual Language students. See example screenshots below.
Video Glossary -
Language translation tool: Students can translate lesson content and mastery checks into over 60 languages. Their selection persists during future sessions in the current product/subject, so they do not need to re-select their desired language each time they access their learning path.
-
Text-to-speech (TTS): Reads the on-screen words aloud in supported languages. Students can highlight a particular section or have the whole page read aloud.
The table below summarizes each language support feature and its availability.

Best practices for educators
- Enable the Spanish Language setting for students in K–5 Math who are Spanish-dominant or are in dual language or bilingual programs.
- Enable translation and text-to-speech for all multilingual students to ensure access and support vocabulary acquisition.
- Model how to use the translation and text-to-speech tools during whole-group or small-group instruction.
Next steps to enable and use the language tools:
- Teachers and Administrators: Accessing and editing the student profile
- Students: Using the language translation and text-to-speech tools (instructions for students)
Troubleshooting Tip
If a student cannot see the translation or text-to-speech tools in their lessons, check their student profile to make sure the desired features are enabled for each product. Language supports must be set up separately for MyPath Math, MyPath Reading, and Imagine Purpose.
