Students
| Idle Logout Location | Description |
|---|---|
| When a student is in a lesson/assignment player |
The idle timeout varies by subject:
This behavior affects active time calculation in reports, since time leading up to auto-logout is counted as active time. |
| When a student is in the assessment player |
The assessment player is used for Imagine+ Assessment tests (for example, Screener, Diagnostic, and Formatives). After 3 minutes of inactivity in the assessment player, an "Are you still there?" message appears with a 3-minute countdown. If the student does not interact during the countdown (6 minutes total), the student is automatically redirected out of the testing session. Student responses are saved before the session ends. The timer resets when the student dismisses the alert or resumes interacting with the assessment. |
| When a student is NOT in a lesson/assignment player | When a student is on non-player pages (for example, dashboards, My Rewards, or My Progress), an "Are you still there?" message appears after 3 minutes of inactivity, with a 3-minute countdown. If the student does not interact during the countdown (6 minutes total), the student is automatically logged out. |
