Using the Upcoming view of the Student Progress report in Imagine MyPath

Teachers and Administrators can use the Upcoming view of the Student Progress report to preview lessons that are next in a student's learning path. This forward-looking view helps you prepare for instruction, identify potential challenges, and access resources to support student learning before they begin new content.

To access the Upcoming view:

  1. Select a class on your educator dashboard.
  2. Click a student's name to open their Student Progress report.

  3. Click Upcoming to switch to the view that displays future lessons in the student's learning path.

Understanding the Upcoming view

At the top of the report, you'll see summary metrics that provide an overview of the student's activity. For more information on these metrics, see Overview of the Student Progress report.

Under the summary metrics, the Upcoming Lessons table displays lessons in the order the student will encounter them, with the next lesson in their learning path at the top of the list. See the annotated screenshot and table below for details on what is contained in the Upcoming Lessons table.

Label Column Description
A Lesson Clickable lesson name that takes you to view detailed lesson information, preview the lesson, and access offline resources
B Domain Abbreviated content area code (hover to see full domain name)
C Grade Grade level of the lesson content
D Edit

Options to mark upcoming lessons as Passed (lesson-mark-pass-checkmark.png) or Not Passed (lesson-mark-notpass-X.png)

 Note

Reassigned lessons appear in the Upcoming view with a "Reassigned" indicator and the date they were reassigned. These lessons remain in the Upcoming view until the student starts working on them.

Search and filter options

Use the search and filter tools at the top of the table to locate specific upcoming lessons. Click below to see descriptions of all available options.

Previewing lesson content

  1. Click a lesson name to open the detailed lesson view.

  2. At the top of the page, review lesson details (A), including the domain and standards alignment, and access offline resources (B). Hover over the standards code to see the description. student-progress_upcoming_lesson-viewANN.png
  3. Scroll down to preview the lesson activities:
    • Navigate between activities using the dropdown menu

    • Go directly to other slides or questions by clicking the numbered circles at the bottom of the preview (or use the arrows to move forward/backward by one slide)

    • Correct answers are displayed with a gray checkmark (preview-gray-checkmark.png) and/or are outlined in gray, depending on the item type
