Using the Class Summary report
The Class Summary report has two primary views:
- Student Snapshot: Provides a summary-level overview of each student's progress.
- Lessons to Reteach: Lists the lessons in which the class is struggling.
For both views, you can use the drop-down menus to choose another subject (if available) or another timeframe. The available timeframes include: This Week, Last Week, Today, and Yesterday. The Class Summary page defaults to the Student Snapshot view, but your drop-down menu selections will persist when you toggle between views.
You can also print and download each view using the print and download icons in the top right corner.
Student Snapshot
This view lists all of the students in the class, along with several metrics that indicate each student's progress and engagement in their learning paths during the selected timeframe. Students who did not pass lessons are automatically sorted to the top of the list. This table describes the information contained in this view:
Metric | Description |
---|---|
Active Time | Total time spent working on lessons in the selected subject's learning path. A hyphen (-) appears if the student was not active during the selected timeframe. |
Lessons Completed | Number of lessons completed. A hyphen (-) appears if the student did not complete any lessons during the selected timeframe. |
Lessons Not Passed | Number of lessons not passed. A hyphen (-) appears if the student passed all completed lessons or did not complete any lessons during the selected timeframe. |
Resources | Provides lesson resources for lessons not passed. A hyphen (-) appears if the student passed all completed lessons or did not complete any lessons during the selected timeframe. |
Last Active | Displays the date when the student last made progress work in the selected subject's learning path. |
Symbols may appear next to a student's name that tell you whether a student has not yet been assigned a learning path or has completed all of the lessons in their current path.
Symbol | Description | Actions to take |
---|---|---|
Student has not yet been assigned a learning path. | ||
Student has completed their learning path. |
For students who did not pass a lesson, a file icon ( ) will appear under Resources. Clicking that icon opens a popup that gives you access to lesson resources as well as details about the lesson, including an overview of the lesson and descriptions of the aligned standards. If a student did not pass multiple lessons, the others are listed below in expandable sections.
Clicking a student's name will take you to their Student Progress report, where you can view more detailed information about their learning path activity.
Lessons to Reteach
This view lists all of the lessons that students in the class did not pass in their learning paths within the selected timeframe. The lessons with the greatest number of struggling students are automatically sorted to the top. This table describes the information contained in this view:
Metric | Description |
---|---|
Lesson Grade | Grade level of the lessons not passed. |
# Struggling | Number of students who didn't pass a lesson. |
Resources | Provides lesson resources for lessons not passed. |
Clicking a number ( ) under # Struggling will make a popup appear that lists the struggling students and what score they each received on the lesson's final mastery check.
Just like on the Student Snapshot view, clicking a file icon ( ) under Resources opens a popup that gives you access to lesson resources.
Clicking a lesson name opens a popup where you can view the lesson's activities, including any questions the students would have been asked. Gray checkmarks indicate the correct answers. Use the drop-down menu in the top left to toggle between activities. Use the pagination at the bottom to navigate between slides within the current activity.
