Imagine+ Math integrates with Renaissance Star to tailor individualized learning pathways for K–5 students. Renaissance Star provides overall grade-level placement data, which informs pathway recommendations designed to optimize student learning and growth.

Important considerations
- Assessment type: Imagine+ Math integrates only with English-language versions of Renaissance Star Math assessments. Curriculum-based Measures (CBM) and Spanish versions of Star Math do not generate placements for Imagine+ Math.
- Data sync timing: After students complete a new Renaissance Star Math assessment, it may take up to three days for updated placement data to appear in Imagine+ Math.
- Placement and pathway recommendations: All K–5 students begin in the Math Mastery pathway by default. Educators receive placement recommendation alerts, based on Renaissance Star results, when a student may benefit from switching between Math Mastery and Math Builder pathways. Recommendations for Math Builder are triggered when a student is 2 or more grade levels below or 1 or more grade above their rostered grade. Educators maintain full control to apply, override, or undo recommendations.
Using Renaissance Star with Imagine+ Math students
- Returning students: Retain prior year placements until new Renaissance Star assessment results become available.
- New students: Placements update automatically to reflect the latest Renaissance Star overall grade-level score as soon as results sync, unless the placement is locked.
- Assessment data: Imagine+ Math automatically pulls Renaissance Star results taken after July 1 of the current school year. For older results, contact your Imagine Learning Customer Success Manager.
