Here are common screens your students will encounter while using Imagine Español.
Multi-Product Login Screen
Students accessing the program via the app or login.imaginelearning.com use the Students tab to log in.
Product Portal
Students assigned to more than one product will see all products assigned to them and must click a tile to start a session.
Test Introduction and Conclusion Screen
When an Imagine Español student begins the Placement test or Benchmark test, they will see the following screen with the accompanying audio, "This is a test. Do your best!" Students also see this screen at the conclusion of testing.
Test in Progress Notification
A Booster icon and the words "Examen en curso" display in the bottom left corner of the screen throughout the duration of the Placement and Benchmark tests. When students complete a test, the icon and text are removed.
Note
This same notification appears when students are taking the brief Pre- and Post-tests within their learning sequence. Pre-tests are given to determine if students can skip an upcoming activity and Post-tests evaluate whether students have mastered the content or need additional support. If you are unsure whether or not your student is in the middle of a Placement or Benchmark, consult the Growth report.
Control Panel at the bottom of student activities
The Control Panel consists of the following features, in order from left to right:
- (A) Pause button: Students should press this button to interrupt and hold the activity if they need to take a short break. The Pause screen also shows students their usage data.
- (B) Translate button: Applicable to students whose Language Support is set to English. Pressing this button allows students to rehear the instructions in English instead of Spanish, if the activity type allows for it.
- (C) Replay Instructions button: If students miss the directions or aren't sure what to do, they should click this button to listen to the instructions again.
- (D) Let's Go button: Press this button to submit answers/save work and move on to the next question or activity. When enabled, this button changes from a checkmark to a chevron.
- (E) Repeat button: When this button is enabled, students may repeat the entire activity.
- (F) Progress bar: Indicates how much of the lesson the student has completed. For scored activities, there will be a circle for each question and it will be green if the student got it correct on the first attempt, yellow if they miss it on the first try but then get it correct, and red if they don't get the answer correct on the first or second try.
Inactive Student Session
This screen appears when the app is waiting for student input. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the student is automatically logged out. Usage time in the Usage report will not include the 10 minutes this screen was shown.
Something Went Wrong Screen
This screen displays when a network request couldn't complete. Click More Info in the bottom right corner of the screen to get more insight into what went wrong.
Pause Screen
Students who click Pause () in the bottom left corner of their screen while working on an activity are shown the following screen, which tracks their daily and weekly usage in the bottom left corner.
For students with only one assigned product, the screen looks like this:
Clicking Continue takes students back to Imagine Español. Clicking Logout ends the student's session and logs them out.
For students with more than one product, the screen looks like this:
Clicking Continue takes students back to Imagine Español. Clicking Back to Home ends the student's session and returns them to the Product Portal; from there, they can log out or begin working in a different product.
Rating Screen
After completing some activities, students are asked to provide feedback on how well they liked the activity by selecting the corresponding number of stars.
Rewards Screen
At the end of most activities, students see how many Booster Bits they've earned. They can hover over the Booster Bits to collect them, or wait and the Booster Bits will automatically be collected. For every 1,000 Booster Bits, the museum icon is enabled. Students are prompted to click the museum button to enter Imagine Museum where they will be allowed to play games for 90 seconds.
Avatar-Building Screen
When students are working on their avatar, they can view their rewards data at the bottom of the page:
- The total Booster Bits they have available to spend
- Their museum level
End of Session Screen
Students who complete their assigned session time are shown the End of Session screen. On this screen, they see a breakdown, by color, of how many Booster Bits they earned as well as the length of time they spent working in the program.
End of Content Screen
When a student completes all assigned content for the entire program (i.e., all content through Grade 5), they encounter the following screen.
Note
When a student completes all the content for their rostered grade level, they continue straight into the next grade level. There is no notification that they have finished one grade level and are moving to the next.
