Imagine MyPath can be integrated with third-party assessments to assign student placements in Math and Reading. This article provides an overview of the integration process and key considerations.
Assessment integrations are available for the following third-party assessments:
Integration process
- Setup: Contact your Imagine Learning Account Executive or Customer Success Manager to initiate the integration process.
- Rostering: Requires a rostering integration to add students' assessment IDs to their profiles.
- Data retrieval: The system automatically retrieves students' most recent assessment results.
- Placement determination: MyPath assigns grade-level placements based on assessment results.
- Learning path creation: Personalized learning paths are created aligned with the student's assessed proficiencies.
Key considerations
- Data retrieval window: By default, integrations pull data from assessments completed after July 1 of the current school year. For earlier data, contact your Customer Success Manager.
- Sync process: Nightly syncs review assessment results received in the past 7 days, using new results to generate or update student placements.
- NWEA vs. Renaissance: NWEA provides domain-specific performance data, resulting in a highly tailored learning path. Renaissance data is used to assign an overall placement grade.
- Manual placements: If manually assigned before integration setup, assessment results may override if they yield a different overall placement grade. Domain-specific results (from NWEA only) may also adjust upcoming lessons.
- Placement changes: Manual changes to integration-assigned placements may be overridden by future assessment results if they produce a different overall placement grade.
- Locking placements: You can lock student placements, preventing assessments from overriding current placements. Locked placements can be unlocked from the Student Placement page.
