In Imagine+ Assessment, Administrators have the ability to reopen an assessment that has already closed. This action extends the window and gives students additional time to complete the assessment. Reopening a test is only available for closed tests and can be completed from the Flexible Scheduler.
When to reopen an assessment
- One or more students need additional time to complete a scheduled assessment.
- An unexpected event (school closure, technical issue, student absence) required extending the test window.
- Follow-up or retake opportunities are needed to ensure accurate results or fair access.
To reopen a closed assessment:
- Log in to the Product Portal and select the Imagine+ Assessment tile.
- Click Scheduling in the left navigation panel.
- In the scheduler, find the assessment you want to reopen, referring to the Status column to identify closed assessments.
- Click the three dots on the right for the assessment and select Reopen test.
- In the Reopen Test Window modal, select a new end date for the assessment. The date must be today or later to ensure students have access.
- Click Save.
- The assessment window will update immediately, and the test will reopen with the new end date.
Note
After reopening, all students with unfinished assessments who were originally assigned to the test will regain access. Be sure to notify affected students and teachers about the updated deadline.
