Choosing a sidekick or background in Imagine MyPath and Imagine+ Math

Students can personalize their experience with sidekicks and backgrounds. In products and grade bands that use rewards, students unlock options by earning stars.

Use this article to help students choose different sidekicks and backgrounds they have unlocked.

 Note

The sidekicks and backgrounds available to students in Grades K-5 are different than those available to students in Grades 6-12. Also, the reward system is not active for students in Grades 9-12, though these students are still able to personalize their experience by following the steps below. 

To choose a student sidekick or background:

  1. Log in to the Product Portal and select the desired product.
  2. Click Go or Start on any tile on their home page.

  3. Students in Grades K-8: Click the star count in the top right corner of the screen.
    Students in Grades 9-12: Go to the next step.

  4. Students in Grades K-8: Click My Stuff.

    Students in Grades 9-12: Click their name in the top right, then click My Stuff. student-experience-9-12-my-stuff.png

  5. Select a sidekick to preview it.

  6. Click Backgrounds in the panel on the left, then select a background to preview it.

  7. Click the X in the upper right to return to the previous page.

    The new sidekick and background appear automatically.
