Sending password reset emails for educators (New rostering experience)

The steps in this article apply only if you have selected to self-roster accounts individually.

This article applies to the following products:

  • Imagine Language & Literacy, Imagine Español, Imagine Reading, and Imagine Lectura
  • Imagine Galileo K–12
  • Imagine MyPath, Imagine Science Corner, Imagine Purpose

In addition to viewing, editing, and deleting educator accounts in the products listed above, Administrators can also send password reset emails for educators in their organization. By following the instructions in the email, educators can create a new password. 

 Note

For security reasons, Administrators are unable to view an educator's current password or create/assign a new password on someone else's behalf.

To send password reset emails:

Password reset emails can be sent individually or to multiple recipients simultaneously. Click on a header below to view the applicable instructions. 

Send a password reset email to an individual educator
  1. Log in to the Product Portal and click Users & Classes/Groups.

  2. On the Educators tab, click the three dots to the right of the applicable educator, then choose Send Password Reset Email.
    (Follow the instructions in the Viewing Educators article if you need help finding the applicable educator.)

  3. You'll receive a confirmation at the bottom of your screen that the password reset email was sent to the educator. The recipient should follow the instructions in the email to reset their own password.
Send bulk password reset emails
  1. Log in to the Product Portal and click Users & Classes/Groups.

  2. On the Educators tab, check the checkboxes to the left of the names of the educators who need password reset emails.
    (Follow the instructions in the Viewing Educators article if you need help finding the applicable educators.)

  3. Click the arrow in the Bulk Actions drop-down menu and select Send Password Reset Email.

  4. In the confirmation window that opens, click Yes, Send Emails.

  5. You'll receive a confirmation at the bottom of your screen that the password reset emails were sent. Recipients should follow the instructions in the email to reset their own passwords.
