Understanding Ninja mode in Imagine Math Facts

Ninja mode is a challenging enrichment activity that students earn after they have shown fluency in at least 2 operations. Ninja mode challenges students to replay an operation with a faster required response time. There are three levels of difficulty within Ninja mode: Ninja Apprentice, Ninja, and Ninja Master.  

Students automatically unlock Ninja mode for addition and subtraction once they have passed both operations with a score of at least 95%. Students automatically unlock Ninja mode for multiplication and division once they have passed both operations with a score of at least 95%, as well as achieved Ninja mode for addition and subtraction.

 Recommendation

Print achievement certificates for students after they unlock and complete Ninja mode.

Here's how students will know whether or not they've achieved Ninja mode:

Mode Description
Ninja Mode Locked
Until Ninja mode is unlocked, students will see a grayed-out Ninja Mode button upon selecting an operation at log-in. When students click Ninja Mode, they'll see a message explaining what Ninja mode is and how they can unlock it.

A green button indicates when Ninja mode has been unlocked for the student and what Ninja mode level (Ninja Apprentice, Ninja, or Ninja Master) the student has achieved.
