Imagine+ Formatives® are short, standards-aligned assessments designed to provide educators with a quick snapshot of student learning for Grades K–8 in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Math. As part of the Imagine+ Assessment suite, these ready-made assessments help teachers monitor student progress on specific skills and standards to inform day-to-day instructional decisions.
What are Imagine+ Formatives?
Imagine+ Formatives are pre-built assessments targeting specific skills and knowledge. Key characteristics include:

- Fixed-form structure: Standardized questions for easier comparison of results across students

- Efficient assessment: 3–7 items per formative (5–10 minutes to complete)

Administration
From the Formatives dashboard, Teachers and Administrators can search for formatives by subject, grade, standard, or keyword. You can also:
- Preview formatives and aligned standards before assigning
- Create assignments made up of one or more formatives
- Edit drafts of assignments before assigning them to students
- Assign the formatives to individuals, groups, or classes
- Edit, close, or delete active assignments
- View performance data on active and closed assignments
Note
Administrators must be listed as teachers in a class to assign formatives to students.
