Logging in to the Imagine Learning student app (IL&L/Seuss Corner and IE)

 Note

This article applies to the following products:

  • Imagine Language & Literacy (IL&L), including Seuss Corner
  • Imagine Español (IE)

On some devices such as iPads, Chromebooks, and Kindles, students in IL&L and IE have the option to log in via an app instead of logging in via the web browser.

The app is only available for the student version of the products. To log in to the educator portal, you must log in via the web browser or via SSO.

 Caution

Using the app on a phone is not recommended for IL&L or IE. 

To log in, students must have either:

  • A username, password, and Site Code (a unique identifier for the school or district)

    -OR-

  • A QR code and a supported device with a camera that can scan the code. The QR code includes each student's unique username, password, and Site Code embedded within it and is often the easiest, fastest login method for young students.

Both the QR code and the traditional login credentials are available on each student's login card. The password field must be filled in manually as passwords do not display in or print from the products for security reasons.

To access and log in via the app (students only):

  1. Download the app from the Google Play store (Android), Apple App store, or the Amazon Appstore (for Kindle).

  2. Open the app on your device. 
  3. Click Allow to grant the app access to your microphone and camera.

  4. On the Students tab, do one of the following: 
    Method Instructions
    To log in with a QR code

    A. Click Scan QR Code to open the webcam on the device.

    B. Scan the QR code by holding the login card in front of the webcam.

     Note

    Administrators and Teachers must enable camera permissions on the student's device and browser before the student can use their QR code to log in.
    To log in by typing in credentials A. Enter the student's Username, Password, and Site Code.
    B. Click Login.

     Note

    After the 12th failed login attempt, users are locked out for 30 seconds. Each additional failed attempt adds another 30 seconds to the lockout period.

  5. If prompted to select a product, click the applicable tile to enter that product.

    • Students who only have access to Imagine Español will be taken directly into that program.
    • Students who only have access to Imagine Language & Literacy must choose to enter IL&L or Seuss Corner.
    • Students with access to both IE and IL&L must select the IE tile, the IL&L tile, or the Seuss Corner tile.
