Teachers and Administrators: After reading the Overview of the Imagine Español Benchmark Growth report and accessing the report on your device, use this article to help you interpret your students' results.
To analyze the IE Growth report at the group (class) and student levels:
- In the drop-down menus at the top of the report:
If you have access to multiple groups, select a group in the Group menu and click Apply Changes.
Otherwise, skip to step 2. - Select the applicable assessment(s) from the Test Windows drop-down menu.
Note
When you select a single assessment, all students will display in both sections of the report. When you select more than 1 assessment, only students who have completed all of the selected assessments will display in each section of the report. -
Interpret your results in the Overall Performance section at the top of the report.
Overall Performance/At-a-Glance View
The components in this section of the report are:- Bar graph: The horizontal bar shows the percentage of students who performed in each proficiency level for each assessment you chose in the Test Windows menu. Hover over a section of the graph to see the student count.

Boxes to the right of the graph: (These appear only when a single assessment has been selected in the Test Windows menu.)
The percentage of students with a test status of:
- Completed
- In Progress
- Not Started
- Expired (Started, but not submitted within 28 calendar days.)
- Download Student Lists button: (Only available when a single assessment has been selected in the Test Windows menu.) Allows you to download a CSV file of each student's first name, last name, ID, rostered grade level, and test status.
- Interpret your results in the Detailed Student Performance section at the bottom of the report.
Data Table/Detailed Performance View
The columns in this portion of the report are:- Student: An alphabetical list of students by their last name.
- Rostered Grade: The rostered grade level of the student.
- Completion Date: The date the student finished the Benchmark. If they did not complete it, this column will display No data.
- Percent Correct: The overall % the student earned on the Benchmark. If the student has not finished the Benchmark, this field will display No data.
- Growth YTD: The change in Percent Correct between the first and most recent assessment selected in the Test Window filter. This column only displays when you are viewing results for more than 1 Benchmark.
- Performance: The student's performance level, color-coded to match the key at the top of the report. The options are Minimally Proficient, Partially Proficient, Proficient, and Advanced.
Note
When you're analyzing multiple testing windows, a row displays for each window. You can use the arrow to close this view so that only the most recent assessment displays.
- To export the data to a CVS file, click the download icon in the top right.

Acronyms in the column headers of this report include:- BOY = Beginning of Year
- MOY = Middle of Year
- EOY = End of Year
- First name, last name, and rostered grade
- Completion date of each Benchmark for BOY, MOY, and EOY
- Percent correct for each test window
- Performance for each test window (i.e., Minimally Proficient, Partially Proficient, Proficient, or Advanced)
- Growth between assessments (comparing MOY–BOY, EOY–MOY, and EOY–BOY)
- In the top right, click the printer icon and choose whether to print the report at the group (class level) or to print in bulk for all students in the group.
- Click on a student's name to go to their student-level report.
- The student-level report opens with data for each assessment you selected in the Test Windows menu in the group-level report, or you can access and change the filter at the student level, too. For each assessment, the student's percentage correct is placed in the corresponding grade-level proficiency band. The Growth column populates when the student has completed more than 1 assessment. Positive growth is indicated by a green arrow and negative growth, by a red arrow.
In this table, you can also view the date the student completed each Benchmark and the amount of time the student was actively working on it. - To navigate to another student's report, select a different student's name in the Student drop-down menu at the top of the page, then click Apply Changes.
