Understanding the Practice lessons in Imagine MyPath Math and Imagine+ Math

Use Practice lessons in Assignment Builder to give students targeted math practice without changing their current assigned learning path.

Practice lessons focus on structured, independent application through problem-solving and reasoning. You can assign them for review, reteaching, extra practice, or enrichment.

What Practice lessons are

  • Practice lessons are one of the two lesson types available in Assignment Builder.
  • They are designed for structured practice that helps students apply skills independently.

When to use Practice lessons

Use Practice lessons when you have a specific teaching goal and need a short, focused set of online lessons.

  • Reinforce a concept connected to your current unit.
  • Provide extra practice on a skill students need to revisit.
  • Support small-group or station work with targeted online practice.
  • Give enrichment to students who are ready for more independent application.
  • Add short-term support without changing a student’s assigned learning path.

What students see in Practice lessons

  • Students work through structured practice that emphasizes problem-solving and reasoning.
  • Lesson experience and supports can vary by grade band and activity.
  • Some lessons include lesson-connected resources, such as worksheets, that teachers can download for offline use.
