Information included in the Student Data Export for Imagine Math

Instructions on generating the Student Data Export can be found here

All rostered students are included in the Student Data Export. Students with 1 minute of usage within the school year will be considered Active (see column 7). 

 Caution

NWEA users will find data for the NWEA™ MAP® Growth Assessment in the NWEA portal instead of in columns 14 through 32 of the Student Data Export described below.  

The Student Data Export for Imagine Math contains these columns:

Column Number Column Name Description
1 first_name The student's first name in Imagine Math.
2 last_name The student's last name in Imagine Math.
3 username The student's username in Imagine Math.
4 student_information_number A unique number assigned to the student when the student is rostered (typically their SIS identification number).
5 alt_student_information_number An optional secondary student identification number in Imagine Math.

 Note

If the Alternate Student Number has not been entered in Imagine Math, this column will be empty in the export file.

6 grade_level The student's rostered grade level in Imagine Math.
7 is_active Identifies whether or not a student is active in Imagine Math. Students with 1 minute of usage within the school year are considered active. If the student is active, the column displays "True"; if the student is inactive, the column displays "False."
8 is_ell Identifies whether or not the student is an English Language Learner (ELL). If the student is an ELL, the column displays "True"; if the student isn't an ELL, the column displays "False". The ELL box is used for categorization purposes within reporting and does not assign special lessons to the student.
9 is_iep Identifies whether the student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). If the student has an IEP, the column displays "True"; if the student doesn't have an IEP, the column displays "False". The IEP box is used for categorization purposes within reporting and does not assign special lessons to the student.
10 learning_environment Identifies if the student is assigned to the Imagine Math PreK-2 environment or the Imagine Math 3+ environment.
11 school Identifies the student's school.
12 classrooms Identifies the student's assigned classroom(s).
13 teachers Identifies the student's assigned teacher(s). If a student is assigned to multiple teachers, each teacher's name is listed in the column, separated by semi-colons.
14 benchmark_1_performance_level

The student's Performance Level from Benchmark 1. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1 or is a PreK student.

 Note

PreK students don't receive a Performance Level because PreK is not part of the Performance Level scale.

15 benchmark_1_instructional_level

For Imagine Math 3+ students, this is the student's assessed grade level based on their Benchmark 1 Test. It is the grade level of the content the student is ready to learn. This may be lower than, equal to, or one grade level higher than the student's rostered grade.

For Imagine Math PreK-2 students, the instructional grade auto-populates in the Student Data Export as the same as the rostered grade.

If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1.

16 benchmark_1_quantile_measure The student's Quantile® measure based on their Benchmark 1 test score. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1. 
17 benchmark_1_date The date the student completed Benchmark 1. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1. 
18 benchmark_1_percentile_rank The student's Quantile Percentile Rank based on their Benchmark 1 test score. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1 or they are a PreK or Kindergarten student.

PreK students don't receive a Percentile Rank because PreK is not part of the Percentile Rank scale. Kindergarten students may receive a Percentile Rank if they took the Benchmark test between April–July this year. 

19 benchmark_1_nce The student's Quantile Normal Curve Equivalent Rank based on their Benchmark 1 test score. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 1 or they are a PreK or Kindergarten student.

 Note

PreK students don't receive an NCE Rank because PreK is not part of the NCE Rank scale. Kindergarten students may receive an NCE Rank if they took the Benchmark test between April–July this year.

20 benchmark_2_performance_level

The student's Quantile Performance Level from the Benchmark 2 test. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 2 or is a PreK student.

PreK students don't receive a Performance Level because PreK is not part of the Performance Level scale.

21 benchmark_2_instructional_grade_level

For Imagine Math 3+ students, this is the student's assessed grade level based on their Benchmark 2 Test. It is the grade level of the content the student is ready to learn. This may be lower than, equal to, or one grade level higher than the student's rostered grade.

For Imagine Math PreK-2 students, the instructional grade auto-populates in the Student Data Export as the same as the rostered grade.

If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 2.

22 benchmark_2_quantile_measure The student's Quantile measure based on their Benchmark 2 test score. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 2. 
23 benchmark_2_date The date the student completed Benchmark 2. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 2. 
24 benchmark_2_percentile_rank The student's Quantile Percentile Rank based on their Benchmark 2 test results. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 2.

27 benchmark_3_instructional_level

30 benchmark_3_percentile_rank The student's Quantile Percentile Rank based on their Benchmark 3 test results. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed Benchmark 3.

31 benchmark_3_nce The student's Quantile Normal Curve Equivalent Rank based on their Benchmark 3 Test. If this column is empty, the student has not yet completed the Benchmark 3 Test or they are a PreK or Kindergarten student.

32 most_recent_benchmark_performance_level The student's Quantile Performance Level from the student's most recent Benchmark test.

PreK students don't receive a Performance Level because PreK is not part of the Performance Level scale.

33 lessons_attempted The number of lessons the student attempted, whether passed, failed, or retaken, including lessons the student passed by scoring 80% or higher on the Pre-Quiz. (Pre-Quizzes are for Imagine Math 3+ only.)
34 total_lessons_passed In PreK-2, the number of lessons where this student collected all tokens in the lesson. In Grade 3+, the number of lessons where this student scored 80% or higher on the Pre-Quiz or 70% or higher on the Post-Quiz.
35 on_grade_level_pass_rate The percentage of on-grade level lessons or above grade-level lessons that students passed.
36 below_ grade_level_pass_rate The percentage of below-grade level lessons that the student passed.
37 lessons_passed_by_pre_quiz Imagine Math 3+ students only: The number of lessons that students passed by scoring 80% or higher on the Pre-Quiz for that lesson.
38 pre_quiz_avg Imagine Math 3+ students only: The student's average Pre-Quiz score.
39 post_quiz_avg Imagine Math 3+ students only: The student's average Post-Quiz score.
40 problems_attempted  The total number of Imagine Math problems the student attempted.
41 earned_points Imagine Math 3+ students only: The total number of THINK Points this student earned.
42 earned_tokens Imagine Math PreK-2 students only: The total number of tokens this student earned.
43 math_helps Imagine Math 3+ students only: The number of times the student accessed the Math Helps.
44 live_helps Imagine Math 3+ students only: The total amount of Live Teaching sessions the student participated in.
45 total_math_time The total amount of time (HH:MM) the student used Imagine Math, including School time and Home time.
46 school_time The amount (HH:MM) of time the student used Imagine Math during school hours (between 7 am–4 pm local time, Monday– Friday). 
47 evening_weekend_time The amount (HH:MM) of time the student used Imagine Math outside of school hours (between 4 pm–7 am local time, Monday–Friday, and all day Saturday–Sunday).
