Viewing the Usage report for a class in Imagine MyPath

The class-level Usage report in Imagine MyPath provides Teachers and Administrators with an at-a-glance summary of student engagement and progress for an entire class. Use this report to quickly see individual student activity, track lessons completed, and identify students who may need additional support.

To access the class-level Usage report:

  1. Log in to the Product Portal and select the desired product.
  2. Select a class.
  3. Go to the Reports tab and click the Usage Report tile.

  4. The report opens and displays usage data for all students in the class.

Using the drop-down menus and filters

Filters and drop-down menus at the top of the report help you tailor the data that appears on the page.

Drop-down menus

Refer to the table below for descriptions of the drop-down menus.

Menu Description
Subject If the selected class has more than one subject assigned to it, use this drop-down menu to toggle between subjects. Math is the default. Only one subject can be selected at a time.
Dates Specify the usage timeframe to display: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days (default), Last 28 Days, Last 90 Days, or Custom.

Filters

The Filters menu allows you to remove inactive learning paths or students from view or focus on particular grade levels if the class is mixed. Refer to the table below for descriptions of the available filters.

Menu Description
Learning Path Status The options are Active and Inactive. A student's learning path is "inactive" if the student has not yet been assigned a learning path, the student's learning path was deactivated by an educator, or the student completed their learning path. If you only want to view the usage data for active learning paths, check the box next to Active.
Student Status The options are Active and Inactive. A student's account is "inactive" if it has been archived or deleted. Check the box next to Active so that only students with active accounts appear. 
Grade If the selected class has mixed grades, the students' grade levels appear as the options. Choose a grade to only see data for students rostered to that grade level.

Understanding the Usage report table

The Usage report table displays detailed usage and progress data for every student in the selected class. Each row summarizes a student's activity, with columns that highlight key usage metrics for the selected time period and filters. The table below defines what information is shown in each column of the Usage report.

Column Description
Student Name The full name of the student. Click to access the student's Usage report.
Student ID A unique identifier for each student.
Subject The selected subject area.
Grade The student’s current rostered grade level.
Learning Path Status Shows if the path is Active or Inactive.
Lessons Passed Number of lessons passed within the selected timeframe.
Lessons Not Passed Number of lessons attempted but not passed in the reporting period.
Active Time Total time (hh:mm) the student was active in the selected timeframe.

 Tip

Click the arrows (up-down-sort-arrows.png) in the column headers to sort the data by lessons passed, lessons not passed, or active time to quickly identify students in need of attention.

Exporting the report

To export the class's usage data, click the download icon (cloud-download-icon.png) in the top right corner of the page to export the data as a CSV file. The report will include only the data matching your current filters.

Best practices

  • Review the Usage report weekly to monitor student engagement and catch low-usage patterns early.
  • Encourage all students to meet recommended active time (45 minutes/week for K–2, 60 minutes/week for grades 3+).
  • Follow up with students who have low Lessons Passed or high Lessons Not Passed for targeted support. completion rates 
  • Export usage reports regularly for progress tracking, coaching, or sharing insights with your team.
