Important update
Starting with the 2025–26 school year, formatives will no longer be available within Imagine MyPath. Instead, all formatives will be accessed exclusively through Imagine+ Formatives in the new Imagine+ Assessment product. MyPath customers from the 2024–25 school year who used formatives will receive complimentary access to Imagine+ Assessment, ensuring continued use of formatives for assessment and instructional planning. The process for assigning and reporting on formatives will remain familiar, but access will occur through the Imagine+ Assessment platform.
Learn more about this transition or explore the Imagine+ Assessment Help Center.

The Assignment Summary page in Imagine MyPath enables Teachers and Administrators to manage and track student assignments efficiently. Here, you can monitor each student's progress and performance and review their specific responses to questions.
To view student assignment data:
- Click Assignment Builder in the left navigation panel. If you are an administrator with access to multiple schools, select the desired school.
- From the Assignment Dashboard, click the assignment card for the assignment you wish to view. Data for past assignments can be found by clicking the Closed tab and follows the same workflow.
- The Assignment Summary page displays data differently depending on whether the assignment is composed of lessons or formatives. Click a tab below for more information.
When you open an assignment made up of lessons, the top of the page displays summary tiles with at-a-glance information, including the assignment's Status, the number of Students assigned, the Due Date, the Date Created, and the number of Lessons that make up the assignment.
The data table at the bottom of the page lists all students and shows their performance.
- The Active Time column shows the total time a student has spent on the assignment.
- For assignments with multiple lessons, data for each lesson appears in its own section. Click a lesson name in a section header to view lesson details, access printable resources, and preview the lesson.
- Each activity within a lesson has its own column, with symbols and color-coded scores indicating progress and mastery. The key above the table defines the symbols and colors.
- The Overall Score is the average score from all scored activities in the lesson.
To see how a student answered specific questions within an activity, click a checkmark or Mastery Check score in the summary table.
From there, you can:
A. Use the drop-down menu to switch to a different activity in the lesson.
B. Navigate between questions within that activity.
C. View the correct answer for any question the student answered incorrectly.
Note
The following information applies only to customers who still have access to formatives in Imagine MyPath.
For Formative assignments, the top of the page displays summary tiles with at-a-glance information, including the assignment's Status, the Subject, the Date Created, the Due Date, and a breakdown of student completion status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed).
Beneath the summary tiles, you'll see a performance summary for each of the formatives included in the assignment:
- A color-coded bar chart for each standard assessed, which shows the distribution of proficiency levels for students who completed the formative. If a formative item is not aligned to a specific state standard, it is labeled as a "Supporting skill."
- The Average Score is displayed at the right of the chart for easy reference.
Tip
Hover your cursor over a section of the bar chart to see what it indicates.
Click Student details to drill down to individual student results for a particular formative.
This expands a detailed table showing:
- Each student’s Status (Not started, In progress, Completed)
- Active Time spent on the formative
- Score, which is color-coded by proficiency level (the key above the table explains what each color means)
- Results for each item (correct answers are indicated by a green checkmark, incorrect answers by a red X)
- Overall averages are shown in the top row
Tips
Click the formative name or Preview to view the items that made up the formative.
