Adding an external ID to a student account

Administrators are able to input an external ID for students in MyPath. An external ID is a unique identifier that's assigned to match the class ID that's used in customers' SIS systems.

To add an external ID to a student account:

School Admins (One School) School Admins (2+ Schools), District Admins
  1. Select Users on the left navigation bar.

Continue with the following: 

  1. Choose Student Roster in the Students view.

  2. Click the student's name.

    If necessary, enter the name, username, or external ID of the student in the search box. Then click the search icon ( search_box_icon.png ) or press Enter on the keyboard.

     Note

    Search with as little as one letter or number. The more details provided, the smaller the search results.

  3. Choose Edit next to Student Details

  4. Enter the student's external ID in the External ID field, and click Save.
