Teachers can create new student accounts. Usernames are unique to a login code domain. Educators or students log in with a code that is specific to their site. Usernames cannot include spaces, however, they can include special characters and most of the alt-code characters if they are copied and pasted. Passwords must contain between six and 32 case-sensitive characters without spaces. All keyboard special characters are allowed.
Administrators can change the student’s school. Student accounts can't view school or district information. Educators cannot manually add students in MyPath K-5 when bulk upload/nightly import, also known as Scheduled SIS Imports, is enabled for a school. If Teachers are manually added and included in the bulk upload/nightly import file, that teacher's record is overwritten with the changes in the nightly file.
To create a student account
- Choose Students in the left navigation bar.
- Click Create Student.
- Enter the required information for the student such as their first name, last name, username, grade level, password, and confirm the password.
Enter a third-party ID, if applicable.

Subject options do not display for adult accounts. Select another grade level for those students to complete the required lessons.
- Click Next.
- Select Text-to-Speech, Language Translation Tools, ELL, Spanish Language, MyPath Assessment.
Term Description ELL (Optional) English Language Learner for reporting. Text-to-Speech Allows students to have instructional and assessment content for the selected subject read to them. Language Translation Tools Translates written instructional and assessment content for the selected subject. Spanish Language Allows students to receive Math lessons and the MyPath Math Assessment in Spanish. MyPath Assessment MyPath's assessment tool used for student placement.
- Click Save.
- The student appears in the student list.
