Understanding the Attendance report

Use this page to learn about the various options available when configuring the Attendance Report.

DETAILS TAB:

Option Description
Report Name Designate how the name of the report will appear when finished.
Date Range The report will return results for the period of time specified here.
User Types Specify for which user the report will return the results. 

OPTIONS TAB:

Option Description
Include data from previous schools: Indicate if data from previous schools is included in the report. An example of this would running the report for a transferred student.
Session Time Choose to have the report to show a summary of sessions for each student, or detailed information on each student's sessions.
Include Session(s)

Select the information to display in the report:

  • All Sessions: the total number of logins for the user type selected.
  • No Sessions (zero logins): the students, teachers or parents who have not logged into the system.
  • Completed Sessions (student only): the total number of logins and total session time (in hh:mm:ss format) for all completed student sessions. A completed session is a successful login that is followed by a successful logout.
  • Incomplete Sessions (students only): the number of successful logins by a student without a successful logout.
Display Type Choose to show the start day and time for each session, and/or total logins, and/or total session time for each student.

USERS TAB:

Option Description
Search Options for My Classes, My Students, Groups, Student Search Used to locate users to add to the report. If Classes or Groups have been created previously, educators may utilize them here to avoid searching and adding students to the report individually.

SCHEDULE & SEND TAB:

Option Description
Status Indicate if the report will be emailed to any recipients.
Start This option only becomes active if Status is set to "On". Choose when the report will first be emailed.
Stop This date defaults to the start date and if not changed, the report will never be sent routinely. 
Run report This option only becomes active if Status is set to "On". Determines the frequency for how often the report is generated and emailed.

RUN TAB:

Option Description
Run Now A new window will pop-up and the report will generate. This may take several minutes as report processing time varies based on size and connection speed.
Run Offline This option processes the report in the background, allowing users to freely navigate in the system during this time. The report will be added to the Reporting Queue when completed.
