Using the Test Finder

The Imagine Galileo Test Finder allows District Administrators, School Administrators, and Teachers to find tests without knowledge of the library in which tests are found. Imagine Galileo customers who want to access the Test Finder will have to opt-in to use the new feature. 

To use the Test Finder

  1. Log in to Imagine Galileo.
  2. Click Assessment > Test Construction > Test Finder.

  3. District and School Administrators arrive at the Pre-Built Benchmarks view by default. Teachers arrive at the Pre-Built Formatives view by default. The Test Finder page allows you to find tests that you can assign to students. The Test Finder shows the Test Title, Library the test is stored in, Maximum Points a student can earn on the test, Status of the Test, Test Grade Level, Subject, Publication Date, and Item Count.  Use the table below to see the available features the Test Finder offers.

    magGlassTestFinder.png Type the name of the test that you are trying to find.
    filterTest_Finder.png Click Filter to filter the report by Library, Subject, Type, Grade Level, or Date Published (filters are retained).
    previewTest_Finder.png Click Preview to view the test. 
    calendarTest_Finder.png Click the Calendar to schedule the test. 
    blueprintTest_Finder.png Click the Blueprint icon to view the test Blueprint report. The Blueprint Report summarizes the concepts and standards included in the assessment. For each concept or standard, this report lists the total number of items measuring the concept or standard, the percentage of the items comprised of the total number of items on the test, and the specific item numbers of those items on the test. The report also indicates the percentage of items related to each concept.
    copyTest_Finder.png Click Copy to make a copy of the test. Copying a test allows you to make a copy of the test that you can edit. 
    moveTest_Finder.png Click Move to move a test to a different library.
    deleteTest_Finder.png Click Delete to delete the test. You will receive a warning message asking if you are sure you want to delete the test.  
    openTest_Finder.png Click Closed/Open to open or close a test. Any assessment (benchmark, formative, or quiz) can be set to closed status. A closed test cannot be edited, scheduled, or scored. Students cannot take the test online and bubble sheets cannot be printed. The test can be reopened by toggling the closed status to open status.

     Note

    Tests may only be closed/reopened by users who have Write permission to that library.

    moreoptionsicon.png Click More Options to move multiple tests. This option allows you to select multiple tests to move to a new library, and open/close all tests. 
    recovertestsicon.png Click Recover Test to allow the user to undelete a test that they have previously deleted.
    createTestFinder.png Click Create to create a new test, create a new library, or create a new Ask Test.
