Viewing student portfolios in Imagine Language & Literacy

Administrators and Teachers can use Portfolio to review student artifacts such as any oral fluency audio recordings and written responses that students have submitted from specific activities they encounter throughout their learning path. Oral fluency audio recordings allow teachers to review and assess a student's Oral Reading Fluency and accuracy as they read Imagine Language & Literacy books aloud. Written responses allow teachers to review and assess a student's reading comprehension skills. Once students have submitted an artifact, you can review and assign Booster Bits to their written responses and oral fluency audio recordings

The Group Portfolio Report shows which students have new artifacts that need to be graded, and the number of oral fluency audio recordings and written responses that each student has in their Portfolio. The Student Portfolio Report shows the oral fluency audio recordings and written responses that a student has created while working in Imagine Language & Literacy. The Student Portfolio Report also shows the date that the artifact was submitted and if the student received any Booster Bits for their work.

Written responses

In some activities, students are asked to respond to a specific writing prompt about a book or article they read. Writings in the student's Portfolio show the writing prompt that the student was given and the student's written response.

Oral fluency audio recordings

There are two activities in Imagine Language & Literacy where students create oral fluency audio recordings that display in their Portfolio: Fluent Reader and Read & Record. The Fluent Reader activity asks students to read and record a grade-level text passage within 1 minute. The Read & Record activity prompts students to read and record text from book pages. Teachers then compare the students' oral fluency audio recordings with the book text.
