Data points provided by Imagine Language & Literacy assessments

Testing guidelines

Imagine Language & Literacy collects student performance data via the Placement Test/Benchmark Test, Reading Level Assessment (RLA) Powered by The Lexile® Framework for Reading, and embedded activity checkpoints (scaled scores). Students who are brand-new to Imagine Language & Literacy will take the Placement Test; returning students will take the Benchmark Test. The Middle and End Benchmark Tests and the RLA are optional. Imagine Learning recommends the use of the Benchmark Tests to all customers; the RLA is recommended only if the provided Lexile measures are required. Throughout the year, students receive scaled scores from activity checkpoints. The table below is intended to help you determine which assessments and data to view for specific purposes.
