This article applies to Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.
If you are a District Administrator, School Administrator, or Teacher, you can view or edit a student's account information. As a District Administrator, you can view and edit all students in your district, as a School Administrator, you can view and edit only those students in your school, and as an Educator, you can view and edit only those students in your class(es). If your school has both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts, you can view or edit some settings for both products, and you can change assigned products for multiple students.
Student account information includes the student's name, Student Information Number (SIN), login information, assigned product(s), grade level, class, support language, whether the student is in an IEP or is an ELL student, and whether the student is active. For Imagine Math Grade 3+ students, you can also view or edit the student's glossary support language and whether or not the student is enrolled in the demo pathway.
Note
When you see Managed by SIS next to accounts or classes, it means that your district uses a Student Information System (SIS) integration tool to manage school administrator, educator, class, and student accounts within your district. To update information for these accounts, contact your district's IT staff since they have permissions to make account changes.
Before you begin
- If you see Managed by SIS next to accounts or class, make sure you check with your district's IT staff before editing student account information.
To view or edit a student's account information
- Log in to the Math suite.
- In the Quick Links section of your dashboard, click View Students. You can also click Management > Students in the navigation pane.
- Locate the student account that you want to edit, then click Edit (
).
Note
You can click a student's assigned classroom name to see their student progress.
- Edit the student's account information, then click Save.
Setting Description First Name Specifies the student's full first name. Add or edit the first name by typing in the field.
Last Name Specifies the student's full last name. Add or edit the last name by typing in the field.
Assign Product Access Specifies which Math products the student can log in to and use. Check the box for each product that you want to assign to the student.

This setting is only visible if you have purchased both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.
Student Information Number (SIN) Specifies the student's primary identification number, which is a unique combination of characters that identifies the student in both their school and in Imagine Math. Add or edit the Student Information by typing in the field.
Note
Student Information Numbers can have a maximum number of 64 characters.
Alt Student Information Number Specifies a secondary student identification number, if the student requires more than one student account. Add or edit the Alt Student Information Number by typing in the field.
Username Specifies the student's username, which the student uses to log in to Imagine Math. Usernames must include 1 or more characters and can contain uppercase and lowercase alphanumeric characters. Add or edit the username by typing in the field.
Note
Usernames cannot contain spaces, special characters, or symbols. Editing the student's username doesn't affect the student's work.
Password Specifies the student's password, which the student uses to log in to Imagine Math. Passwords must be between 4-128 characters long and can contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, special characters, and spaces. Add or edit the password by typing in the field.
Note
The shorter and easier the student's password, the less secure the student's login information and product access is. Editing the student's password doesn't affect the student's work.
Site Code Displays the student's site code. A site code is a number that identifies this school or district in Imagine Math. Most Site Codes are determined by the first seven digits of the National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) number. Private schools are assigned a Site Code by Imagine Learning. Grade Level Specifies the student's current grade level. The student's grade level determines what lessons the student should receive. Choose the student's grade level from the drop-down menu.
Support Language Specifies the student's support language. For Imagine Math Grade 3+, the support language plays instructions in Spanish audio for the student. For Imagine Math PreK-2, the support language plays all audio in Spanish for the student. Choose the support language from the drop-down menu.
Is active Specifies whether or not a student account is active. Click the checkbox to activate the student's account. Uncheck the checkbox to deactivate the student's account.
Student is in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) Specifies whether or not a student is in an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Click the checkbox to indicate that the student is in an IEP.
Student is an English Language Learner (ELL) Specifies whether or not a student is an English Language Learner. Click the checkbox to indicate that they are an English Language Learner.
- Check the box for each Imagine Math setting that you want to apply.
Setting Description Environment Displays which environment the student is using: Imagine Math or Imagine Math Facts. The environment available to students depends on which products your school has purchased. Glossary Audio Support Language Specifies the glossary support language for Imagine Math Grade 3+ students. The glossary support language specifies what audio language should play when students use the glossary. Choose from these glossary audio support language in the drop-down menu: English (default), Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Haitian-Creole, and Tagalog. Enroll in demo pathway Specifies whether the student should be enrolled in the demo pathway. Click the checkbox to enroll the student in the demo pathway. - If this student is using Imagine Math Facts, check the box for each Imagine Math Facts setting that you want to apply.

Imagine Math Facts settings are only visible if you have purchased both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.
Setting Description Operation Ordering Specifies that students must pass an operation with 90% or greater on the post-test before they can move on to the next operation, and the order in which students complete different operations. By default, the order of operations is: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You can rearrange the operations in the order that you want students to complete them. To reorder the operations, click the left or right arrow to move an operation one position to the left or right.
Friendly Mode Specifies whether or not to enable Friendly Mode. When Friendly Mode is enabled, most enemies won't attack the student's avatar if they answer a question incorrectly, and if they do attack, the enemies won't cause any damage.
- Click Save.
- To see your changes, find the student whose account you edited. If you changed the student's name, username, password, grade level, or Active status, you'll see those changes on the Students page.
If you made any other changes, click Edit (
) next to the student's name to view the changes.
Changing assigned products for multiple students
As a District Administrator, School Administrator, or Educator, you can change the assigned product(s) for multiple students at the same time.
To change the assigned products for multiple students
- Log in to the Math portal.
- In the Quick Links section of your dashboard, click View Students. You can also click Management > Students in the navigation pane.
- Check the box next to each student whose assigned products you want to change.
- Click Edit Products.
- Check the box next to the product that you want to assign to the student. Uncheck the box to unassign the product from a student.
- Click Save.
You can now see the new assigned products for the students that you changed.
