Students can earn Power-ups while working in Imagine Math Facts. Power-ups provide the players the avatar they selected with temporary special powers to help them conquer the challenges they face in Imagine Math Facts. <when they pass the main levels <what are the main levels--as opposed to regular levels? do they skip these levels through the pre-test?> in multiplication and division math facts. If your student does not skip any levels through the pretest, they can earn Power-ups in this order:

Speed: allows your avatar to run faster.
Force Field: prevents your avatar from sustaining damage for a limited amount of time.
Teleport: skips your avatar to the next creature.
Invisibility: makes your avatar invisible for a limited amount of time
If the student skips any level through the pretest, they will earn all the skipped power-ups the next time they pass a level. <this makes no sense to me at all. what is the relationship between power-ups and the pretest? can students earn power-ups outside of the pretest? what's the difference between skipped power-ups and regular power-ups? i have so many questions.>
