Changing the role of an educator in the Imagine Math suite

 Note

This article applies to Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts.

If you are a District Administrator or School Administrator, you can change the role of an educator from a Teacher to a School Administrator or vice versa. District Administrators can change the role of any educator in the district, while School Administrators can only change the role of teachers in their school. To change the role of an educator, you need to deactivate their current School Administrator or Teacher account and then add a new account for them with either a School Administrator or Teacher role.

 Note

Only District Administrators can change a School Administrator to a Teacher. If you need to change a School Administrator account to another role, email the Imagine Learning Customer Care team at support@imaginelearning.com for help.

 Note

When you see Managed by SIS next to accounts or classes, it means that your district uses a Student Information System (SIS) integration tool to manage school administrator, educator, class, and student accounts within your district. To update information for these accounts, contact your district's IT staff since they have permissions to make account changes.

To change the role of an educator

  1. Log in to the Math suite.
  2. Deactivate the educator's existing account
  3. Add a new educator account or invite the educator to Imagine Math in order to re-add them as a School Administrator or Teacher. Click Add School Admin or Add Teacher depending on which type of educator account you want to add.
