Understanding staff account permissions in Imagine Language & Literacy

Staff accounts can be one of two types: Administrator or Teacher. Administrator and Teacher accounts have different permissions. This chart shows which permissions are unique to each account type, which permissions are shared, and any restrictions in how those permissions are applied.

Self-roster accounts and groups through bulk import X X Administrators can import data for staff and student accounts and groups; Teachers can import data for student accounts and groups they are assigned to.
Create staff accounts X    
Edit staff account information X X Administrators can edit the information for any staff account; Teachers can only edit the information for their own staff account.

Delete student accounts X X Administrators can delete a student account at any time. Teachers can only delete student accounts that are assigned to them.

Assign student accounts to a group X X Both Administrators and Teachers can assign students to a group. You can also assign a student to a group when you create a new student account (either by importing roster data with group assignments or adding a new student account).
