Editing student account information

Administrators and Teachers can edit student account information at any time. When you edit student accounts, you can change different information depending on whether you edit an individual student account or multiple student accounts at the same time.

When you edit an individual student account, you can modify a student's first and last name, username, password, grade level, and student ID. You can also specify the school (or organization) and groups that the student is assigned to and the Imagine Language & Literacy session settings, including the student's session time and audio support language. When you edit multiple student accounts at the same time, you can edit the students' grade level and session time.

First Name Specifies the student's first name.
Last Name Specifies the student's last name.
Student ID Specifies the student ID. This is a unique combination of numbers that identify the student to both the school and in Imagine Language & Literacy. Student IDs can be a maximum of 64 alphanumeric characters.
    Alternate ID

Specifies the student's state ID (optional).

     Note

Imagine Learning does not require this field, but your state might. If your state requires this ID, it must be unique.

Grade Level Specifies the student's current grade level. The student's grade level helps determine what curriculum the student should receive.
    Username

Specifies the unique username that the student uses to log in to the Imagine Learning Student app. Usernames must be a unique combination of letters and numbers.

     Note

Imagine Language & Literacy requires that students use a unique username and password to log in so that they do not accidentally begin another student's session.

    Password

Specifies the unique password that the student uses to log in to the Imagine Learning Student app.

     Note

Imagine Language & Literacy requires that students use a unique username and password to log in so that they do not accidentally begin another student's session.

Organizations Specifies the organizations or schools that the student is assigned to. To assign this student to an organization or school, choose the organization or school name from the drop-down list. Groups Specifies the groups or classes that the student is assigned to. To assign this student to a group, choose the group name from the drop-down list. To remove a student from a group, click the X next to the group name.
Session Time Specifies the student's session time in minutes. The session time is the amount of time the student should play Imagine Language & Literacy or Imagine Español during a single session.

     Note

When you edit a student's session time, it updates the session time for any Imagine Learning Literacy product that the student is enrolled in. For example, if a student is enrolled in both Imagine Language & Literacy and Imagine Español, changing the student's session time in one product will change it for both products.

Language Support: Language & Literacy Specifies the audio support language for the student if they are using Imagine Language & Literacy. The audio support language translates instructions in the Imagine Learning Student app into the student's native language while the student uses Imagine Language & Literacy. Choose the audio support language that you want to use from the Language Support drop-down list. The default language is English. Available languages are: Arabic, Cantonese, English, French, Haitian Creole, Hamong, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Marshallese, Portuguese—Brazil, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
