Audio support gives students the option to have specific passages or questions read aloud to them when they click the speaker icon ( ) in the lessons. For Imagine Reading, the audio support is read in English. For Imagine Lectura, the audio is read in Spanish. It does not translate from one language to another.
Audio support is enabled by default and can be disabled/reenabled by Administrators and Teachers. Administrators can enable or disable audio support for any student in their organization. Teachers can enable or disable audio support for any student in their assigned groups.
Audio support can be edited for individual students and in bulk. Click on the applicable tab below to get started.
To edit audio support for an individual student:
- Log in to Imagine Reading or Imagine Lectura.

Click Manage Students under the Manage heading. (Depending on your role and product, you may have to select a group first before arriving at the page with the Manage section.)

- If needed, perform a search or navigate through the pages to find the applicable student.
- Click the pencil icon of the student whose audio support you want to edit.
- Choose Yes from the Audio Support drop-down list to enable audio support or No to disable it, then click Save.

A confirmation appears at the top of the page and closes automatically.
To enable or disable audio for multiple students (bulk edit):
- Log in to Imagine Reading or Imagine Lectura.

Click Manage Students under the Manage heading. (Depending on your role and product, you may have to select a group first before arriving at the page with the Manage section.)

- If needed, perform a search or navigate through the pages to find the applicable students.
- Select the students whose audio setting you want to edit, then click Bulk Edit.
Tip
Click the checkbox next to the Name column to select all students on the page. The default number of students per page is 30; be sure to adjust this if you have more than 30 students and you wish to select all of them.

Choose Yes or No in the applicable Audio Support drop-down list(s), then click Update.
