Self-rostering Math accounts through bulk import

At the beginning of a new school year or when you first start using the Imagine Learning Math Suite (Imagine Math PreK-2, Imagine Math Grade 3+, or Imagine Math Facts), you'll need to create educator and student accounts and classrooms so that your educators and students can log into the Math Suite.

You can create accounts and classrooms in bulk by importing roster data into the Imagine Learning Math Suite or you can create accounts and classrooms individually. The Import Wizard guides you through creating educator or student accounts and classrooms. After you have created your educator or student accounts and classrooms, you can also use the Import Wizard to update any existing accounts or classrooms.

If you are a District Administrator or School Administrator, you can use the Import Wizard to create educator and student accounts; if you are a Teacher, you can only create student accounts.

Adding Educator accounts through bulk import

When you add Educator accounts, you can add and update classrooms and teachers, and assign teachers to classrooms.

To add staff accounts through bulk import

  1. Choose Educators in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Under the "Upload a CSV" section, click Get Started.
  4. On the Getting Started screen, choose Add Teachers and Classrooms from the Select an Import Type drop-down menu, then click Next.
  5. On the Upload File screen, download the Staff Import Template. Or you can create your own CSV file according to the Math Staff import file specification.
  6. Click Select File to browse for and choose your import file.

     Note

    Your import file must be a CSV file in order to be imported correctly.

  7. Click Next.
  8. On the Confirm page, review any classrooms that will be added, any teachers that will be added, and any teachers that will be added to classrooms.
  9. Click Next.
  10. From the Complete screen, you can Start a New Import, Upload Another File, or Return to Dashboard.

Adding Student accounts through bulk import

When you add student accounts through bulk import, you can add students and enroll them in the default pathway.

To add student accounts through bulk import

  1. Choose Students in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click Add Students.
  3. Under the "Upload a CSV" section, click Get Started.
  4. On the Getting Started screen, choose Add Students and Classrooms from the Select an Import Type drop-down menu, then click Next.
  5. On the Upload File screen, download the Student Import Template. Or you can create your own CSV file according to the Math Student import file specification.
  6. Click Select File to browse for and choose your import file.

  7. Click Next.
  8. On the Confirm page, review any classrooms and students that will be added, and any students or teachers that will be added to classrooms.
