Viewing and editing student account information

If you are a District Administrator, School Administrator, or Educator, you can view or edit a student's account information which includes name, username, password, assigned product, grade level and class. As a District Administrator, you can view and edit all students in your district, as a School Administrator, you can view and edit only those students in your school, and as an Educator, you can view and edit only those students in your class(es). If your school has both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts, you can edit settings for both without switching products.

Student account information includes the student's name, Student Information Number (SIN), login information, assigned product(s), grade level, class, support language, whether the student is in an IEP or is an ELL student, or whether the student is active. For Imagine Math Grade 3+ students, you can also view or edit the student's glossary support language and whether to enroll the student in the demo pathway.

If a student is assigned both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts, you can also change their product assignment. You can also change product assignment(s) for multiple students when they are assigned both Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts. If you need to deactivate students, see Activating, deactivating, and removing a student.

 Note

When you see Managed by SIS next to accounts or classes, it means that your district uses a Student Information System (SIS) integration tool to manage school administrator, educator, class, and student accounts within your district. To update information for these accounts, contact your district's IT staff to complete certain actions, as they own those specific rights.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure that if you see Managed by SIS, you check with your district's IT staff, prior to editing student account information.
  • Review the Adding students article, to determine if this is the method you want to use for adding your students.
