Click Import Users in the Quick Start section on your Dashboard or click Import Wizard in the Settings drop-down menu.
Prepare your import file. You can create your own CSV file or you can use the Imagine Learning Teacher or Student Import File Templates available for download from the Import Wizard.
On the Choose Your Import File screen, choose your School Name from the drop-down list.
Choose the type of accounts you want to import: Teachers or Students.
Browse and choose your import file.
Your import file must be a CSV-formatted file in order to be imported correctly.
On the Match Your Data Fields screen, match the Imagine Learning data fields to the columns in your import file by choosing the appropriate data field from the drop-down list. Check the Preview Your Data column to make sure that the data fields you have matched appear correctly.
If you are creating teacher accounts, match these required fields:
Specifies the teacher's first name.
Specifies the teacher's last name.
Specifies the email address (username) that this teacher uses to log in to Imagine Language & Literacy.
Specifies the group(s) (or class(es)) that this teacher account is assigned to. If a teacher account is assigned to multiple groups (or classes), you can include each group name in the Group (Class) column, separated by a ";" (semicolon).
If you are creating student accounts, match these fields:
Specifies the student's first name.
Specifies the student's last name.
Specifies the username that this student uses to log in to the Imagine Learning Student app.
Specifies the password that this student uses to log in to the Imagine Learning Student app.
Specifies the student's grade level.
Student ID Number
Specifies the student's ID number.
Specifies the audio language used to support the student in the Imagine Learning Student app, if the student needs first-language support.
Specifies the group(s) (class(es)) that this student account is assigned to. If a student account is assigned to multiple groups (classes), you can include each group name in the Group (Class) column, separated by a ";" (semicolon).
On the Confirm Your Import screen, review the information and verify that the data to be imported is correct. If there are accounts and groups in your import file that already exist in Imagine Language & Literacy or Imagine Español, the Import Wizard will update them. If there are errors in your import file, the Import Wizard will report the row number, column name, data value, and error message for each error. Any data field that contains an error will not be imported. To correct these errors, edit your import file, save it, and then click Re-upload Corrected File.
Click Import File.
The Import Summary screen displays the number of new students, teachers, and groups that were created and any existing students, teachers, or groups that may have been modified. To close the Import Wizard, click Done.
To import another file, click Import Another File.
Once you have successfully imported student accounts and groups, assign any unassigned students to groups. Students must be assigned to a group to access and use Imagine Language & Literacy or Imagine Español.
